Indonesia’s investment and sovereign wealth manager, Danantara, has made its debut at the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, marking a strategic step toward strengthening global partnerships and advancing Indonesia’s long-term economic growth agenda.

Participating for the first time at the global forum, held from January 19 to 23, Danantara aims to engage with international stakeholders to mobilize quality investments and foster collaboration aligned with national priorities. Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said the agency’s presence at WEF reflects Indonesia’s commitment to high-standard governance, sustainable investment, and global cooperation.

Roeslani, who also serves as Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, noted that the forum provides an important platform to present Indonesia’s economic outlook as a developing market navigating challenges such as climate change and demographic shifts. He emphasized that Danantara positions itself not only as an investor, but as a long-term strategic partner focused on building economic and social resilience.

According to Roeslani, Danantara’s investment strategy is aligned with both national needs and global priorities, with key focus areas including critical minerals, energy transition, food and health security, and digital transformation. During the forum, the agency is expected to hold a series of strategic meetings with global investors, financial institutions, and state leaders.

Danantara is part of the Indonesian delegation accompanying President Prabowo Subianto, who is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at WEF on January 22. The 56th edition of the forum is expected to gather more than 1,000 participants, including 61 heads of state and government, underscoring its role as a key platform for global economic dialogue.
