The Plastiworld 2026 exhibition, held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, concluded successfully, with a strong emphasis on international collaboration and strategic partnerships. The event was inaugurated by Shri Vikas Pansare, IAS, MD, MSSIDC, and witnessed significant participation from global buyers and Indian manufacturers.

Organised by the All-India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) in partnership with FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organisations), Plastiworld was conceptualised in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a US$ 5 trillion economy and enhance India’s export share in GDP.

A defining highlight of the event was the signing of over 800 MoUs between buyers and sellers, reflecting strong business intent and future trade opportunities. These agreements were facilitated through a highly structured B2B format, enabling direct engagement between Indian MSME plastic product manufacturers and verified international buyers.

In addition, a landmark tripartite MoU was signed between the India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC), FIEO, and AIPMA, aimed at strengthening bilateral trade relations and expanding market access for Indian plastic products in global markets.

The exhibition brought together over 100 Indian sellers and more than 210 buyers from 47 countries, including 160+ verified overseas buyers, along with 50+ sourcing agents and institutional buyers. Leading Indian retail brands such as Reliance Retail and IKEA also participated, further enhancing the event’s business scope.

Approximately 4,000 B2B meetings were scheduled over the three-day period, with nearly 2,000 meetings conducted in dedicated zones, resulting in an average of 22–25 business leads per exhibitor. The event generated business worth around ₹60 crore, underscoring its strong commercial impact.

With global trade in plastic finished products valued at nearly US$ 1.3 trillion and India’s current exports at around US$ 12.5 billion, AIPMA aims to scale exports to US$ 50 billion within three years.

Plastiworld 2026 has thus emerged as a strategic platform, with MoUs at its core, driving export growth, international collaboration, and long-term business partnerships for India’s plastics industry.
