The 30th CII Partnership Summit concluded in Visakhapatnam, registering a significant volume of investment commitments for the state of Andhra Pradesh. The government formalized a target of 410 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), projected to unlock investments valued at ₹9.8 lakh crore. These agreements are expected to create approximately 7.5 lakh employment opportunities across diverse sectors.
A core focus of the Summit was the state’s potential in green energy. Commitments within the renewable energy sector totaled over ₹2.94 lakh crore. Key investment areas included pumped hydro storage, green hydrogen production, wind, solar power generation. Prominent companies such as Evren (a JV involving Brookfield Renewables), Axis Energy, ReNew Group signed major pacts in this category. Infrastructure, IT, food processing, industrial manufacturing also saw notable inflows.
During the event, state leadership introduced the Visakhapatnam Economic Region Growth Hub Plan. This initiative aims to develop the coastal city as a globally competitive, inclusive hub for logistics, industry, clean energy. The strategy underscores the government’s commitment to facilitating business through its “Speed of Doing Business” approach.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand noted, “The commitments received at this Summit reflect strong investor confidence in the state’s economic future. Our focus shifts now to rapid ground execution of these projects. We are dedicated to ensuring these investments successfully translate into widespread prosperity, skilled jobs for our youth.”
The successful conclusion of the Summit reinforces the state’s ambition to become a major economic engine contributing to national growth targets.
