The Meetings Industry Association Reveals 2025 miaList Winners, Honouring Excellence in the UK’s Business Events Sector

The Meetings Industry Association (MIA) has revealed the winners of the 2025 miaList, honouring individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional talent, innovation, and leadership in the UK’s business meetings and events industry.

The prestigious awards ceremony took place on 7 November 2025 at the newly opened Masters Suite at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, bringing together professionals from across the sector to celebrate the passion and creativity driving its continued success.

Among the evening’s top accolades, ICC Wales was named Venue of the Year (Over 300 Delegates), while Edgbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre earned gold in the Venue of the Year (Under 300 Delegates) category. The inaugural Executive Leader of the Year award went to Paul Casement of Brighter, recognised for his inspiring leadership and strategic brand development.

The ten professionals named on the 2025 miaList were:
Chelsea Rolfe (University of Leeds Conferences and Events), Christine Ferris (Legacy Hotels & Resorts), Claudia Platt (Radisson Hotel Group), Deborah Collins (The Belfry Hotel & Resort), Kate Mullen (Whittlebury Park), Lisa Morris (The Venues Collection), Ros Wilson (Edgbaston Stadium), Sammy Connell (NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union), Sasha Lee (BMA House), and Tia Goadby (Leonardo Hotels).

Other notable honours included C2Events winning Agency of the Year, Leopold Marketing taking Supplier of the Year, and BMA House earning gold in the ESG Award for its sustainability leadership. Experience Oxfordshire Venues was awarded Destination Team of the Year, while Whittlebury Park won gold for Event & Operations Team of the Year. Rising talent was also celebrated, with Michaela Best of Melia Hotels International securing the Rising Star Award.

Judged by an expert panel of industry professionals, the 2025 miaList reaffirmed the MIA’s mission to celebrate excellence, inspire innovation, and recognise the people and organisations shaping the future of business events in the UK.
