The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), in collaboration with Sepfust Solutions Pvt. Ltd., has introduced an AI-driven EXIM Data Extraction Utility aimed at simplifying data management for exporters, importers, and Customs House Agents (CHAs). The new tool promises to transform the way EXIM documentation is processed, making it faster, more accurate, and export-ready.
The utility leverages artificial intelligence and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract over 300 data fields from any Bill of Entry (BoE) or Shipping Bill (SB) across all ICEGATE and Indian Customs formats. According to the developers, the extraction process takes only two seconds per document and guarantees 100% accuracy, eliminating the need for manual data entry and significantly reducing errors.
Key features of the tool include bulk data upload, automatic merging into Excel sheets, and seamless integration through API, email, or sFTP. An optional RPA (Robotic Process Automation) module allows users to automatically download documents from ICEGATE, further streamlining the workflow. TPCI and Sepfust are offering free access to the first 1,000 users, encouraging adoption among industry professionals.
The AI-powered utility is positioned as a response to growing demand for efficiency and automation in India’s EXIM operations. By providing instant, clean, and structured data, it enables businesses to focus on core operations rather than spending time on repetitive administrative tasks.
TPCI and Sepfust are actively seeking feedback from users to enhance the tool further, including additional automation solutions tailored for EXIM processes. Exporters, importers, and CHAs can explore the utility and experience its features firsthand via the official access link.
This development underscores the increasing role of technology and AI in modernizing international trade processes, reflecting a shift toward more streamlined, efficient, and error-free EXIM operations in India.
