New Delhi is gearing up to host the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) from 8–11 October 2025 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, under the inspiring theme ‘Innovate to Transform’. This year’s theme emphasizes the critical role of innovation in driving transformative change across industries, infrastructure, society, and sustainable development.
Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister for Communications and Development of North East Region, highlighted that IMC 2025 will provide a global platform for domestic industries, international investors, manufacturers, and Indian consumers to showcase India’s growing technological capabilities. He stressed that innovation has always been central to India’s journey of transformation and will continue to guide the nation’s progress.
Organized jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), IMC 2025 is expected to welcome over 1.5 lakh visitors from 150+ countries, feature 400+ exhibitors and partners, and host more than 7,000 global delegates. The flagship startup program, ASPIRE, will showcase over 500 startups, connecting them with investors, incubators, and accelerators for mentorship, live pitching, and networking opportunities. Over 800 speakers will participate in 100+ conference sessions, discussing emerging technologies and their impact on India’s digital ecosystem.
The congress will highlight more than 1,000 cutting-edge use cases, including developments in 5G, 6G, AI, IoT, electronics manufacturing, and green technology. With the previous edition attracting 175,000 attendees from 120+ countries, this year promises to further strengthen India’s position as a global leader in digital innovation.
During the event, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Telecom Excellence Awards 2024 will recognize outstanding contributions in telecom innovation, skilling, services, manufacturing, and applications. This year’s awardees include Mr. Parag Naik (Sankhya Labs), Niral Networks, Lekha Wireless, Prof. Chandra Ramabhadra Murthy (IISc Bengaluru), and CDOT.
In addition, Shri Scindia will launch the revamped Sanchar Mitra Scheme, aimed at empowering students across India to become ambassadors of digital awareness, cybersecurity, and responsible telecom use. The initiative will mobilize youth to educate communities, participate in skill-building opportunities, and drive nationwide awareness about safe and informed use of digital technologies.
With its focus on innovation, collaboration, and inclusive growth, IMC 2025 promises to be a landmark event, uniting industry leaders, startups, and technology enthusiasts to co-create solutions that will shape India’s digital future.
