ES: How has your experience been working with the CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Centre in terms of infrastructure, accessibility, and scalability?

Ravi Boratkar: Navi Mumbai’s emergence as a business and innovation hub is positioning it as a critical player in India’s Sci-Tech ecosystem. With the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, the city is set to become a global gateway for trade and technology exchange. Its well-developed infrastructure, complemented by tech parks, research centres, and diverse hospitality options, makes it an attractive destination for business and innovation. The presence of the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre (CECC) further strengthens its role as a platform for global conferences, industry meets, and large-scale exhibitions. As Navi Mumbai evolves, it is poised to drive advancements across emerging sectors, contributing significantly to India’s vision of global leadership in science and technology.

ES: Can you share insights about the key upcoming events MM Activ is organizing this year? What themes or sectors are you focusing on?

Ravi Boratkar: MM Activ is gearing up for an impactful lineup of events this year, spanning transformative sectors that drive India’s growth story. Our flagship event, the Bengaluru Tech Summit, Asia’s largest tech event is a truly content and business-driven platform that brings together global leaders, technologists, and policymakers to shape the future of technology and innovation. In the agri sector, Agrovision, Central India’s largest agri show, focuses on sustainable farming practices and technology integration. We are also hosting the 2nd edition of India Bio Energy & Tech Expo, spotlighting clean energy solutions and sustainable innovations. Additionally, first-ever Quantum India Bengaluru will delve into the future of quantum technologies, while the first-ever Sports Innovation and Technology Summit will explore advancements in sports tech. With more promising events in the pipeline, MM Activ remains committed to curating platforms that inspire innovation and drive meaningful industry connections.

ES: Looking back, what were some of the biggest milestones MM Activ achieved last year across your business verticals?

Ravi Boratkar: Last year was a landmark one for MM Activ, marked by key milestones across our business verticals. We successfully hosted the 4th edition of Prawaas—India’s flagship multimodal public transport show, followed by the inaugural edition of India Bio Energy & Tech Expo, advancing our commitment to clean energy. This was followed by the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists, held under the theme ‘Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems,’ which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, reinforcing our engagement with global agricultural innovations. The Bengaluru Tech Summit continued its legacy as Asia’s largest tech platform and was recognised as a sustainable event for the second consecutive year. Agrovision emerged as a grand success, reinforcing its position as Central India’s largest agri-tech event. The TiE Global Summit further established itself as a premier gathering for entrepreneurial growth and innovation. A significant highlight was the 100 Years of Chemistry celebration, where a special coffee table book was unveiled by the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal. In Knowledge Media, we introduced MedTech Spectrum and AgroSpectrum Technovate event, expanding our engagement across health and agri innovations. Our group-operated MICE venue, CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre (CECC), continued to host top-tier events, solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for exhibitions and conferences.

ES: Agrovision has grown into one of India’s most respected agri-tech platforms. What is the vision behind the 16th edition of Agrovision in 2025?

Ravi Boratkar: The 16th edition of Agrovision in 2025 is poised to take India’s agri-tech landscape to new heights with its visionary theme, Transforming Agriculture, Empowering Farmers. Our focus is to bridge the gap between traditional farming practices and modern technological advancements, equipping farmers with the latest innovations to enhance productivity and sustainability. This year, Agrovision aims to spotlight breakthrough solutions in smart farming, precision agriculture, water management, and sustainable crop practices. With a strong emphasis on knowledge transfer, the event will feature expert-led workshops, interactive sessions, and live demonstrations designed to empower farmers with practical skills. By uniting policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and farmers, Agrovision continues to champion sustainable agricultural growth, ensuring that Indian farmers are equipped for a resilient and prosperous future.

ES: What is your message to the industry leaders looking to make meaningful impact in sectors like biotechnology, agrotech, or nutraceuticals?
