Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the PATA Nepal Chapter (PNC) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaboratively organize the fifth edition of the Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM 2025), set to take place from June 3 to 5, 2025, at The Soaltee, Kathmandu.
The MoU was signed by Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of NTB, and Narendra Deo Bhatta, General Secretary of PNC. The upcoming edition of HTM is particularly special, marking two major milestones — the golden jubilee (50th anniversary) of the PATA Nepal Chapter and the 75th anniversary of the first successful ascent of Mount Annapurna by French mountaineer Maurice Herzog. Notably, Herzog’s family is expected to visit Nepal in commemoration of this historic feat.
Recognized as Nepal’s premier international travel and tourism trade event, HTM 2025 will spotlight the country’s diverse tourism offerings through a dynamic blend of B2B networking sessions, expert-led conferences, and curated immersive experiences. The event is tailored for international travel buyers, influencers, media representatives, and tourism professionals from across the globe.
As per the MoU, NTB will take on the role of organizing partner, offering crucial support in branding, promotion, and hospitality for international hosted delegates. Meanwhile, PNC will lead the planning and execution of the event, ensuring a world-class experience for all participants.
HTM 2025 is anticipated to play a key role in elevating Nepal’s global tourism profile and enhancing international collaboration within the travel trade sector. The event promises to be a powerful platform for forging new partnerships and promoting Nepal as a must-visit destination on the global tourism map.
