Two leading international event organizers, dmg events and Deutsche Messe AG (DMAG), have formalized a strategic alliance to develop a new global exhibition and conference focused on the energy sector. The joint event is scheduled to debut in Germany in 2027, establishing a new forum for international industry collaboration and innovation.
The agreement, structured as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was officially signed by Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, and Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Messe AG. The signing took place in Hong Kong during the annual UFI Global Congress, a prominent gathering for the exhibition industry.
This partnership is designed to establish an essential international platform dedicated to confronting the complex issues facing the global energy system. The initiative specifically addresses accelerating worldwide energy demand, the urgent requirement for system resilience, and the critical need to ensure long-term energy security. These challenges are intensified by factors such as population growth, urbanization, and the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure, which is expected to place sustained pressure on power systems globally.
To address the dual imperative of securing supply while driving system decarbonization, the new platform will convene stakeholders across the full breadth of the global energy value chain. The scope of the event is planned to encompass fuels, power generation, grid technology, energy storage, clean technologies, digital infrastructure, and mobility solutions.
By uniting producers, solution providers, technology firms, financiers, policymakers, and innovators, the exhibition and conference aims to create a unique environment for strategic dialogue and practical action. The objective is to foster collaboration, support sector innovation, and accelerate the development and application of integrated, scalable solutions.
The cooperation leverages dmg events’ extensive background in managing large-scale, influential energy exhibitions, such as ADIPEC and Gastech, combined with Deutsche Messe AG’s deep expertise in hosting major industrial and technology events. This collective experience is intended to build a resource capable of uniting key voices in the energy and technology fields to inform policy and drive necessary investment for future global progress. Joint planning for the 2027 launch is set to begin immediately following the execution of the MoU.
